Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026

Tool Repo doesn't actually set traditional cookies for tracking. What it does use is your browser's local storage — a similar but not identical mechanism — to remember a small amount of information. This page explains exactly what's stored and why, in plain terms, and how to change your preferences at any time.

Necessary storage

If you sign in with Google to save favorite tools, Supabase (our authentication provider) stores your session in local storage so you don't have to sign in again on every visit. This is required for the sign-in feature to work at all, so it can't be turned off — but it's never set unless you choose to sign in.

Optional analytics storage

Tool Repo doesn't currently run any analytics. We've built the consent system to support it in case that changes, but nothing analytics-related loads, runs, or stores anything unless you specifically opt in through the cookie preferences panel. Leaving it off, or ignoring the banner entirely, means nothing optional is ever stored.

What we don't use

We don't use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. Text, images, and files you use in individual tools are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere, regardless of your cookie preferences.

Changing your preferences

You can review or change your storage preferences at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page.
